Masterpiece Retreat!

"For we are God's MASTERPIECE. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so that we can do the good things he planned for us long ago." [Ephesians 2:10]

{Lexie and Ann Marie following along during the first session!}

This past weekend I had the pleasure of spending my time with the 5th & 6th grade girls from my church. I'm sure that some, if not most of you are probably thinking I'm crazy... Trust me as soon as I said I wanted to help I thought... wait... did I really just say that!
I really did end up having a great time!

{We broke the rules (imagine that!) and 7 of the leader went down the slide together @ Bounce U!}

After listening to what some of these ladies had to say about their daily experiences at home, school, and church, I soon realized that what I thought "sucked" when I was their age is NOTHING compared to what they are all going through each and every day.
It really made me think... I think my day-to-day life is hard and that I'm overwhelmed with things and that I would give anything to be "young again"... and now I'm more than grateful that I am done with that stage in my life. Don't get me wrong middle school was fun and all, but I don't want to go back... ever!

{Sarah and Debbie relaxing with their face masks on!}

I ask you to pray for these girls and others their age. They are ALL going through WAY MORE than I could ever imagine. They are living in a battle field each and every day. Many of them are reaching out for help and searching for answers in all the right places, but there are also many who are still seeking acceptance in all the wrong places. Pray that all of these girls will turn to the Lord and run into his "Marvelous Light" and sit with Him in all of His Glory!

{Allison, me, and Allie lookin' into the distance!}

{I'm a Masterpiece.... Okay!!}
